McChesney has long been an advocate of "Reuse, Recycle, Renew" and her studio space is a reflection of that. Many of its elements come from years of collecting "treasures": windows from the Pawlet fireman's auction, the antique front door from a yard sale, counters and sink from a local kitchen renovation, a beautiful faucet from RK Miles sidewalk sale, and windows and doors from alongside the road and occasionally in a dumpster. Some of her favorite pieces came from the Station Restaurant renovation when it became Pascal's. "I love being surrounded by the bits of history all these pieces bring".

The studio is a big open space with the showroom at the south end soaking up the sun from the huge window-wall. Visitors can browse and chat with McChesney while she works in the adjacent room. Beautiful wall brackets, made by local iron craftsman Clint Eirmann, hold up the thick hundred-year-old plank shelves that were moved from the old studio. Black and White Series

My working studio is open to the public. I do encourage people to visit. I am here a lot, however I recommend calling first. I thoroughly enjoy sharing the space and the process with visitors - a mini education and a look behind the scenes!

My studio is open by chance or appointment.
